More Info

The original Ryujinx is the final build created by GDKchan before shutdown.

Currently there are two hard forks of Ryujinx available. One called Ryujinx Mirror and then there's GreemDev - their aims are as follows;

Ryujinx Mirror

"Reconstruct basic build infrastructure & workflows for this repository, based on revision hashes as opposed to server releases (for now)

To be as safe as possible, remove all previous in-app and meta references to Patreon, ryujinx.org etc while keeping full attribution of original authors and contributors in-tact.

Keep 'branding' as pure and faithful to the original project as possible."

GreemDev Fork

"This fork is intended to be a QoL uplift for existing Ryujinx users. This is not a Ryujinx revival project. This is not a Phoenix project."

For now, the final release of Ryujinx is as good as it gets. If you are annoyed with popup messages stating their website or repository is down / can't update. Feel free to use any of the hard forks. The most promising hard fork right now, seems to be GreemDev's Ryujinx.

The LDN version of Ryujinx is a special build of the emulator designed specifically for local wireless multiplayer emulation, known as Local Direct Network (LDN). This feature allows players to simulate the local multiplayer experience over the internet, letting you play games that support local wireless with other people who are also using Ryujinx LDN.

However the latest and final Ryujinx releases already has this feature built-in. Read more about LDN Multiplayer here.

Building the project is for advanced users. If you wish to build the emulator yourself, follow these steps:

Step 1

Install the .NET 8.0 (or higher) SDK.

Step 2

Download the source code on this page.

Step 3

To build Ryujinx, open a command prompt inside the project directory. You can quickly access it on Windows by holding shift in File Explorer, then right clicking and selecting Open command window here. Then type the following command: dotnet build -c Release -o build the built files will be found in the newly created build directory.

Ryujinx system files are stored in the Ryujinx folder. This folder is located in the user folder, which can be accessed by clicking Open Ryujinx Folder under the File menu in the GUI.
